Kate paced up and down the street quickly and anxiously.
They weren't back yet. And they weren't in the pub. Christ only knew where they were...
She'd been all over Kyoshi looking for them, and she couldn't find any of them, not one of them. She'd tried phoning Katara's and Tommy's mobiles but apparently there was no reception where they were... which was worrying. Katara wouldn't drink, she knew that much, but what the others would do when wasted...
When they hadn't met her as planned, she'd thought that they would be in the pub, so she'd calmly gone there, expecting them to be still drinking there - but they weren't there.
She'd raced round back to her post incase she'd missed them, but no, they still weren't there. So she'd ran around Kyoshi Port looking for them, and she still hadn't found them. So she'd ran on board to find Phil.
Phil was still pretty pissed about having to give up some of his medical supplies, and for a minute had said that the captain could be left to his own devices...
"He who falls behind is left behind, remember, lass?" he'd said, putting what was left of his medicines in the cupboards and slamming the doors shut.
"Not when it's the captain," she'd pointed out.
"He's a shit and you know it, Kate." Such language was rare from Phil.
"He's still the captain!"
"So? Nancy could captain the ship. She's a good leader, and you only need six to crew this ship. And she wouldn't let the men drink as much."
Nancy had been captain of The Icelandic Pearl, but there was a mutiny and she'd been thrown off-board. They'd spotted her and rescued her. It was no secret that the kooky, determined girl was intending to take place as Captain on the Star... but she'd be a better leader than Captain Guillmore, anyway.
"That's mutiny," Kate reminded him. "You know what happens to mutineers. You'll be marooned."
"It'll be better than here!" he'd snapped.
But she'd talked him round, and now he was off looking for the majority of the crew who'd gone to the pub. Kate twisted her hands. She hated the Captain with the roving eye, that much was true, but the rest of the crew... where the hell were they?
She took out her phone and dialled Tommy's number again.

"Tommy, it's Kate. Where the hell are you guys? The doctor and I are looking all over the place for you. When you get this, phone me back a.s.a.p.," she said, then hung up.
Phil appeared around the corner.
"Did you find them?" she called.
"No," he said, walking over. "But I have a pretty good idea of where they could be."
"Where?"
He took her hand and led her to a corner where she could see over the huge marina.
"Shit," she breathed. "You're kidding me, right?
No. No. No.
If Phil was right, they were all in trouble.
He was right. She knew he was right. They'd searched Kyoshi, this was the only place that they could be...
She turned to him. "What do we do?"
Phil stared out at the naval ship HMS Dignity. "Break in," he said decidedly.
Kate stared at him. "What?"
He smiled at her. "Come on."
